| i think trying to make a hardwar such as easy pic3 will be more expensive than getting the board itself. i might be wrong but i am sure making easy PIC3 is not your project. if u need to use a devlopment board try and get one, and you will get some additional package with it alongside. but if you need a do it yourself try the oshonsoft develoment board and other ones you can get online.

| The easyPIC boards would be a nightmare to hand wire. And I'm sure they don't publish the layout artwork.

Schematics are easy to design. It's the layouts which take skill.
No one will ever give out his layout for a commercial board.

I have got the easypic 3 and 4 schematics some where but to be honest just buy one well worth the money, I tried to make one but gave up
the on-board programmer/debugger can't be copied anyway so what's the point without those you may aswell design a simple one jut to a 40pin board and then adpators to plug into the 40pin board so simple

My MPLAB ICD2 clone can be built, and the Firefly & Unicorn kits too. I publish the schematics and .hex files required for my kits.
You can even do USB with the Unicorns 18F4550 (GLCD & LCD too)
The picture below was done by a Unicorn user.

Bueroomelectronics i was talking about the easypic 4 board which has it's own built in programmer/Debugger and that bit cannot be copied,
Yeah your kits look good and simple to build

| I have a damaged Easypic3.The problem is that it recognises all mcu's as 12f508. The board gets detected by computer and usb connection is established. Any help

The 12F508 does not have an on chip ID nor does any 12bit core PIC. Sounds like it sees nothing at all.
What are the IC part numbers on the EasyPIC3 programmer section?

Get what? I'd rather use my own kits.

HI FRIENDS
IS SOMEBODY INTERESTING IN A SIMILAR DEVELOPMENT BOARD LIKE EASYPIC4.
DIFERENCE IS WHAT IT WORKS WITH MPLAB OR PICKIT2, THE PROGRAMMER IS COMPATIBLE WITH PICKIT2
WE MADE ONE, AND WE ARE GOING TO PRODUCE FOR SELL. YOU CAN SEE A PICTURE IN THE NEXT LINK

I made my own dev board for PIC18F4520. It's more or less like EasyPIC4. There is an on-board MPLAB 7.60a compatible ICD2 (upper right corner). Yesterday I demonstrated this board as my final work for bachelor's degree. It works but still needs a lot of improvements. The board features a lot of perphereals, like I2C (for eeprom), SPI (for MAX7219), OneWire (for DS1820), RS232 (MAX232), analog input (two potentiometers), socket for resonator, piezo buzzer, two connectors for LCD 2x16 and GLCD 128x64, pull-up/down resistors, push buttons, LED's, each port has a connector for external devices. Each device can be connected/disconnected with a dip switch or a jumper (like in EasyPIC's).
I could publish the schematics and all but I wont, coz the design is not perfect yet. It will be (I hope) after summer

| dgs117, I look forward to seeing your end result. I also want to make a board like that myself.
