I have the same problem with the CCD with the same model, but my LCD works fine. I have a feeling that the CCD is dead. I opened mine up and checked all connections but still the same. Looking around to see if I can locate a replacement CCD as cheap as possible.

Excuse my bump, but I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. Did you successfully touch the tape mechanism?

I had the "blinking" problem with my old camera NV-DS60 and solved it after I followed your sugestions.
Some things is increasing the value in time, as the wine, isn't so?  )

Hi All,
I have a problem with my ds60. It has worked for me faithfully for about 4 years until now. I have recently moved to CA from UK, and I guess the plane ride messed it up a little. I am getting 4 blinking flashes when i turn it on, and from looking at the other posts, know what the problem is. I dont know how to fix it though. Can someone help?

hi to all,
thank's for accepting me on this wonderful board
i've got a nv-ds60eg of my friend to rapair...
he connected a cam with 12V battery pb gel 
now the circuit under battery there is 2 components named IP1201 (32V 2A) and IP1202 (32V 1A)... i'm supposing that, this components it'a a fuses but i don't be sure...
someone can help me please??

If you have problem with Dew Detector in DS60 - try this:
When you get the "Dew Detected" sign on the screen, remove the battery, give it a good palm hit on the bottom where the battery sits. Hit it a couple good times, put the battery back in and voila it will work guaranteed! I thought it was dumb at first, tried it and it works, hell it works everytime. The blow dryer, plastic bag trick dont work because its an electrical error, not actual dew.

Check the firewire connector of the camera closely with a magnifying lens, you might have bent or squashed one or more of the gold plated wires if the firewire cable was of cheap quality, you said "does not function anymore" so I guess this might have happened.

I have red flashing light problem too, trying to fix it now

Hi!
I again tried (after some time now) to check old recordings from dv-tapes with by nv-ds30. But camera started to chew some tape and the camera did actually warn me by flashing the light so there must have been some problems with reels.
Need to dig into the manual and see if there is something I could do.

Hi!
Warning! When the power led starts to flash and anything doesn't work immediatelly remove your tape in order to save your tape. Panasonic service takes care of these problems so take your peace to the service asap.
Service guys said that this problem is just not with panasonic but also other labels.

After taking off the bottom cover and having a little fiddle with the connector cable, all is now fixed!
