s7 ppi ocx

Hi

How we can interface (in delphi) with the S7-200 PLCs (read inputs and outputs ,....)?

Can we develop modbus in PLC on the DP Ports?How?

Thank you

siemens s7 plc <-> delphi

I think that you should find, first of all, an OPC server. Then, you can program your application, scada, datalogger, etc with a OPC client.

If you need information for OPC : www.opc.org

If you want to access to all the PLC memory, you need a interface who can support s7 protocol.

I agree about the OPC server but not the link, I get to this place:
Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) perhaps usefull to some but not when dealing with Siemens.

komunikacja delphi s7-200

There are a lot of OPC servers. Siemens has all in "Simatic net" Cd. Im using it with an ethernet, but i used it with Profibus DP network, but with Visual C++ and Visual Basic. Simatic net cames with a OCX, if you can use OCX with Delphi, you are done. Apart from that, you can use National Instrumens Datasocket, is a OPC client too.

Hi,

you will find Borland Delphi Interfaces for SIMATIC NET at

www.SoftwareOption.de (link -> "Produkte", then switch to english text).

There you can download trial versions directly.
