I'm a student but I want to use cadence tool, like LVS, virtuoso

layout editor.

is there Cadence tool program for linux?

if it was, where can I find it?

I heard that IC5.0 may be operated in Linux. Is it true?

if it is true, is it free software or need license to operate properly?

You need a license to run Cadence EDA tools. It could run SUN, HP and Linux environment. You need connet your workstation to the license server to run it on Linux.

call tool free number for cadence university program they will give more detail . our university got cadence by cadenceindia university program
tell ur professor to contact cadence for more details
they gave tools in cheap
