Which is the first company that produce FPGA?

Q1.Why FPGA can guarantee almost all logic design can be implemented in it's LE( logic cell/logic cell), base on what theorem?
Q2.Who is the LE(FPGA) invetor, Which paper(s) is FPGA pioneer paper?
Q3. Any article/paper mention about the history of FPGA/CPLD?

Hi,

I think you should contact Xilinx and Altera. They may all say they are the inventor Wink

BTW, I have read a article in Xilinx Cell, it said Xilinx is the inventor. The idea is to produce a PCB on a chip.

Regards,
Davy

Yes Xilix was the inventor of the FPGA . but ispired on the CONCEPT of programmable logic developed bymonolitic memories MMI and IBM and by the fact that you can implement all logical operations on a EPROM .This came to be called the LUT .
There is no THEOREM that all can be put in a FPGA ..
The FPGA is a collection of RESOURCES .. Generation after generation of architectures had made it possible to get decent speed .This was not always the case. And FPGAS were never used in the past in high speed bus controllers .

because all logic can be implemtnted by AND OR NOT three basic logic.

and LE can realize these three logic, so fpga can realize all logic.
