Hi
I want to do a 256k points FFT. i have used an acquisition card with 32k-sample FIFO size.
Due to samples missed when i transfer acquired samples from the FIFO, Spectrum measurment made distort.
Are there any methods to compensate this problem?
Thanks in advance.

If you know something about what the signal should be, then you could fill in the holes. But then you wouldn't need to be measuring the signal.
In general, no. Fix the broken FIFO!
What's wrong with it? Maybe we can help you.

Hi
As you can guess, i want to build a spectrum analyzer with a ADC and FIFO.
When missing some samples the spectrum results degrades from what i want to have.
I thinked that the FFT is not sensitive to sample missing and only it is enough to fill the FIFO, but i see that it is not true.
So, my question now is "is there any method to compensate this problem"
Regards

| Just out of curiosity, which DSP chip or EVM would you be looking to use? I am looking to do the same with my LCD but still trying to decide which direction to go.....

Hi
I have used a digital receiver which consists of a 3 AD6645 and 3 GC4016 and 3 FIFO.
For performing FFT i have used this board in AD Burst seting, which all DDCs were bypassed.
