I have a question!
I have to repair a TIG ARC WELDER,problem is that all electronics in it is totally damaged.
I wont to use phase cotrol with SIEMENS TCA785 on primary side off transformer.
If anyone hes any experience with thih plese leave here sugestions,it might help me.

Hi,
It is easier to repair the unit.
Usually the hi voltage power section gets busted.
Explain the condition of the welder, maybe we can help.

To control power SCRs it is better to use n:n pulse transformers, as per attached applications from the TCA785 data sheet; pages 15 and 16 ..

Hi Milan,
To build a pulse transformer, wind 21:21 turn of magnetic wire 31 AWG on a ferrite toroidal core as this : http://www.allproducts.com/ee/bipolar/15.html
