I just wondered if µP controlled ignition cars could be started without a battrey....by pushiung it down the road...
If ignition is timed by µP will it work ?
I know this is an electronics form....but still woindered if some one could say something...

Sparks need some energy. Microcontroller controlled ignition device requires some volts to operate. Without a battery you will not be able to do anything ..
If, however, there is a battery which is not completely dead, you may be able to start the engine by pushing the car (manual, not automatic transmission) down the road..

Traditionally, if you push the car down the road in first gear, the generator
will provide the electricity for the ignition, as it does during normal operation.

If the battery is not completely dead probably the energy will be sufficient to supply the ignition electronics.
However modern car have complex electronics on board that controls also catalyzer.
So probably starting the engine by pushing the car will damage the catalyzer
