Post06 Jan 2005 15:07   ANALOG VLSI BASED VELOCITY SENSORS

hello everybody, iam designing a velocity sensor as a part of my thesis.iam referring to the paper which i have uploaded below.in this paper the authors have proposed a means of converting the speed to an equivalent voltage by using a method in which a current spike from pixel is converted into a slowly decaying signal is .a current spike from an adjacent pixel is converted to a voltage nad then it is used to sample this slowly decaying signal.this sampled voltage gives the velocity of the object between two pixels.i would like some knowlegable members to throw some light on the math behind this concept which has been used in this paper. the paper is uploaded below.any help would be great.thanks
