Post05 Jan 2005 9:25   Need help on switched capacitor filter simulation

Hi, all,

I am running a simulation on a switched capacitor lowpass filter using Spectre...The analyses i am running are PSS followed by a PAC. And the input signal is a dc source with a dc level of 1V and PAC of 1V...The problem is that, i observe almost no signal at the filter output...
I guess i probably did not give the correct input signal...Can anyone tell me if the input signal setting is correct or not? if not, what kind of input signal shall i use to test my SC filter?

Any instruction will be appreciated...

Can you post more specific problem description? Probably you have not set the PSS and PAC setting correctly.

I suggest you read P ellen's book and/or notes from his website w3.aicdesign.org. He gives excellent PSpice examples on SC filters and their simulations.

If you're using SpectreRF (PSS, PAC, PNoise) - read Ken Kundert's article about SC filter simulation at www.designers-guide.com

There's a perfect explanaition how it works with examples (even examples' netlitst are provided)

P.S. it's hard to help you without seeing your netlist.. hope Kundert's paper will help you.
