Me and my partner are working on a Tranceiver Module (Chipcon CC1000). We use the Hynix GGMS81C1408 as our microcontroller. The RX side was powered by a USB port (data through RS232) while the TX side was powered with voltage regulator. Our module uses NRZ coding. The TX works fine because the signal interpreted from the oscilloscope was in accordance to the data we sent. Operating frquency is 443MHz. Software used is ISM Linker while emulator used is GMS800 for Hynix.

Problem: The RX received a different sort of signal which is different from the TX. According to the Chipcon datasheet, a DC balanced preamble is needed. The pattern of the preamble is "0101010101................" What's a preamble? How does it work? PLz help anybody..................

Hi,
the preemble is needed for the bit synchronizer. The bit synchronizer needs a DC balanced bit stream this means same amount of zeros and ones. After the average DC voltage is set the bit decision can be made.

Which frequency do you use, with which kind of settings? Please post your register values. Have you read the section about low and high side LO injection, therefore also the bit inverting?
