You may consider the TDA7000 or TDA7010 IC which is an FM receiver. The second is SMD. Search the web for the datasheets, I think is made by National.
It is also available from Farnell.

Post28 Dec 2004 6:49   Re: FM receiver

from my experience, using tda7000 is quite unpleasant since it is not so good in reception.
so i made my own rx fm using FM Tuner and IC LM1260 and it is very good and stable in reception.
try it

Hello

You can use this link v:

Hello

Go to http://web.telia.com/~u85920178/

choose receiver circuits, and then TDA7000 RX.

I built this one myself too, it works good, but the telescopic antenna has to be a good one, and the power supply should be well regulated.

If you build it, let me know, because some problems that are easily solved will appear, on my side, I solved them all.

Regards

For 2m band (144-146MHz) you should search radio amateur pages they have different projects about 2m receivers.

Hello my friend,

Yes, my name is Patrick Cambre and I have a website at...

http://braincambre500.freeservers.com

I have two 3 FM receivers you may want to study and look at...

One is a superregenerative FM receiver that could possibly get up in the 150MHz range. But you would have to experiement with that.

Another is a Philip's TEA5711T FM receiver that is a heterodyne receiver.

Another is the TDA7000 chipk, made by my friend, Sir Pedro.

Should you need more help on any of the units, do drop me a line, my friend!

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Patrick

Considering the winding core (air or iron ) ,the core of the coils changes its inductance so much , so you have to do the coil with the core mentioned in the circuit, the no. of turns is also so important but the spacing is not as you can change it later using wooden or isolating material during the operation of the circuit, to tune/fine tune the circuit , wishing this might help Wink

Or you could use a good equivalent for the MPF102. See below.

Industry Number : MPF102
NTE Device Number: NTE451
JFET-N-CHAN, UHF/VHF AMP,TO-92
